A new van lining system has been unveiled by Comm-Ply and vGroup Van, forming part of a fully integrated approach to vehicle conversions. The Hero system, designed to be installed without screws, was launched at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2026 by the businesses, both part of vGI Holdings.
The Hero system features a 10mm structural polypropylene floor and 4mm honeycomb wall panels, engineered to provide protection while maintaining a lightweight profile.
Its screwless installation removes the need to drill into the vehicle body. Instead, a patent-pending fixing system secures the lining using existing vehicle mounting points, such as floor hooks and towing eye positions, helping to protect the vehicle structure and maintain warranty integrity.
The product is fully recyclable, with a take-back approach that allows materials to be reprocessed and returned into the supply chain at end of life.
Product lightness brings payload advantage
Speaking to Fleet News at the CV Show, Nicola Eggleton, General Sales Manager, highlighted the importance of weight reduction for modern fleets.
She said: “Weight is a key consideration, particularly for high-volume operators and electric vehicles. A lighter lining system means increased payload, improved efficiency and, in the case of EVs, extended range.
“Even relatively small weight savings can translate into operational gains over time, whether that’s additional payload or reduced running costs.”
The product is manufactured in the UK, with national mobile fitment available. Installation can be carried out at locations chosen by the customer, including ports, distribution centres or operational sites, helping to minimise downtime.
Eggleton added: “Our mobile fitment capability allows us to install where it suits the customer, keeping vehicles on the road and reducing unnecessary movement.”
She also explained the roles of both businesses within the offer: “Comm-Ply manufactures the Hero system, while vGroup Van delivers it as part of a wider, integrated vehicle solution.
“vGroup Van brings together products from across the group, alongside selected partners such as System Edström, to provide a complete vehicle conversion solution.
“That includes everything from internal protection and racking to lighting, security, tow bars and branded elements, all designed to protect the vehicle, support operations and enhance residual value.”
Products and services are available nationally, including private label options and full graphics and wrapping through Fleet Wraps.
