Vehicle Health & Safety

Health and Safety starts before you get into the company vehicle you are driving.
Both businesses and drivers have a legal obligation to ensure that the vehicle they are driving is roadworthy – always. This includes a walk around and visual inspection to identify anything that is not working correctly or damaged. Defects must be reported for rectification. Drivers also have the responsibility of making sure that their load is stowed safely, and they are driving within the law.
Employer’s have a responsibility to maintain vehicles and monitor drivers correctly undertaking their duties. Vehicles must be fit for purpose from a H&S perspective, both for staff and the public.
These precautions are carried out by all Comm-Ply employees before they operate national fitments daily, to ensure they, and their vehicle arrive to their destination safety.
